One reason for what is happening with the waterways is that politicians who talk about children so much are not spending money on infrastructure such as sewers and sewage treatment systems and parents don't want to pay for the sewage fee (which is based on water consumption and so the more people in a house, the bigger the fee).
Around our areas at nearly every stream are signs that say "this waterway could have bacteria during wet weather". Some part of Pittsburgh such as downtown and older neighborhoods are on a combined sewer system, that is the storm and sanitary sewers are one and the same and all lead to the Alcosan facility. Along the rivers are hatches that have a sign on them saying they are an overflow. When there is a storm, these hatches open, spilling storm water and raw Sh!t into the river.
A "wet weather project" will cost 3 billion dollars over the next ten years to try to correct this problem. But you think breeders care about this or any other current events? Of course not.
I also think another source is all the Pampers and Huggies breeders toss everywhere, releasing raw e.coli at every public park and walkway.
Mr. N, Thanks for that info. What I really find incredible is that 100 years ago people dug holes in the ground for their shit and the lakes and waterways stayed safe to swim in. Now we have huge sewage SYSTEMS. Computer run and sophisticated. State-of-the-Art. And with all this sophistication and high tech systems what do we get? Shit! In the creeks and lakes. In the rivers. In the freakin' OCEAN!! You have to be afraid to eat seafood for fear of what's in it. I would NEVER eat fish from a small lake. No freakin' way!! I'm not exactly a seafood lover anyway, but even if I was, I'd reconsider it.
Yep. Modern technology is certainly making the world a better place alright!
